A Valentine From Leah

This was a Valentine wish sent by one of my favorite woman mystics and fellow Tantra Goddess, Leah Zahner. Her workshops in the Los Angeles area are always oriented around opening the heart and communing with our highest natures.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

Today we celebrate the joy and wonder of Love. We remember the many ways in which we have felt Love and shared it with others.

This is the day of great opportunity, to create magnificent feelings of Love in our world. So today I am wanting you to know your are so very Loved and Lovable. You are a cherished and special part of the world in which I live, and in the world around you.

The Love you have shared in your life has been multiplied as it passed from person to person. The Love you have received has been multiplied as you passed it on to others.

Love is the network which weaves our world together. It connects each of us with all of life. It sustains our breath, maintains our heart rhythm and fills our Being.

Fill yourself with Love today. Remember the moments in your life which opened your heart and graced you with Love. Let today be a day in which you celebrate the Love you have felt, the Love you now feel, and the Love still on its way to you.

I hold you in my heart today with great Love and Joy. You have graced my life with your presence.

BLISSINGS
LEAH

Abraham-Hicks: "Alignment" = Feeling Good

This is one of the daily quotes available when one signs up at the Abraham-Hicks website. I enjoy how they continually emphasize that the "feeling good" places we find in life, create actual vibrational harmonics that bring joy, health and one's own best possibilities to fruition.

Be easy about it. Don't rush into things. Savor them more. Make more plans and be more deliberate and specific about the plans that you are making, and in all that you do, let your dominant intent be to find that which pleasures you as you imagine it. Let your desire for pleasure, your desire for feeling good, be your only guiding light. As you seek those thoughts that feel good, you will always be in vibrational harmony with the Energy that is your Source. And under those conditions, only good can come to you, and only good can come from you.

Yessing Her Way Into a New Life

Beth Lapides, of Un-Cabaret fame, wrote this in today's installment of her blog (and Yoga Journal column) "My Other Car is a Yoga Mat."

I loved the simple alchemy of flipping her "no's" into "yesses" and watching her life transform. I am 99.99% certain that this will work for anyone, in any situation!

One habit Greg has tried to help me break is my habit of negativity. “You’re so negative for a positive person,” he’s always telling me. He’s right. And I hate that about myself!

The first time I noticed my ‘no’ habit I was climbing the stairs out of the West 4th Street subway stop. I was a young artist begrudgingly headed to a day job. “No,” I heard myself say with each step. No no no. And just as the darkness of the underground station gave way to the daylight of the West Village, it dawned on me that if I could just replace those no’s with yesses, everything in my life would change for the better. When I paid attention I could do it while I was walking. “Yes yes yes,” I repeated all that year as I walked my way from day jobbing to the life I’d imagined.

Even now, all these years later, when I don’t focus on saying yes, I still easily slip back into the no habit. And this habit of negativity, I now know, in Yoga is called dvesa, rejectivity, or aversion. Dvesa is one of the four branches of avedya. We get caught in the habit of dvesa when we say no to things that are unfamiliar, things that have caused us pain before, maybe even things that we are afraid will reject us.

I’ve noticed I don’t always know when I’m engaging in dvesa. Because a knee jerk, dvesic no, sounds a lot like a considered discerning no. But no—all no’s are not alike. And of course, you say no to no in order to say yes to yes.

Would it Be Different?

If we knew for SURE:
That this life we're living is a game, or a classroom;
A fleeting experience, a gift from the Source of Being,
And just a precourser to our ultimate reunion with Oneness...

Would it change the way we appreciate our lives?

One Little Thing

Today's Happy Thought:

We live in a multi-verse full of synchronicity, in which our approach to life largely creates our outcome. In this way, life can be seen as a privilege, an opportunity for us to express, serve and experience.

Playing All-Out

I do this...my friends do this. I hope you do this, too!

"Nobody ever gets the best of you if you're doing something for love.
And if you're not doing it for love, you'd be better off finding something that you could do for love. Because you're not growing unless you're doing something for God.
If you're not doing something for God - if you're not doing it for the highest principle, then there's no point in doing it. You're just getting by. And mastership is anything except getting by. You do everything until it sings.
And why? Because you want to. You love to."

Global Concerts for Peace

I love it when people mix consciousness, peace and music! It's just such a potent combination.

Enjoy the beautiful video trailer for Project-Peace on Earth, which is due in 2010. Their literature says, optimistically, "Peace has begun."

Its transformative aims center around the precept that "sound is the basis of form," and the filmmakers go on to describe the workings of string theory.

It is a set of concerts staged by leading musicians at sacred spots
around the earth: Egypt's Great Pyramids, England’s Stonehenge, Australia's Ayers Rock, Peru's Inca Pyramids, Japan's Mount Fuji, and California's Mount Shasta. It includes a concert tour bus "Crisscrossing the nation."

You can go to their website to learn what they are up to today. The entire endeavor is to raise funds for practical, immediate aid for children around the world: Food, shelter, safety, health and education.

The video footage includes inspirational ideas from luminaries as diverse as Casey Kasem, Deepak Chopra and Jack Canfield. And as you look into the eyes of the children and ordinary people/mystics from around the world, I think you'll agree that enlightenment, for oneself and for the planet, isn't that impossible a dream, at all...
